Let me say you are the man!!! Easeus only let me copy 1000? Mb which is shit so I had to purchase it...If you need my reg # I will mail you it for your troubles..I wa able to recover my important files but it took a full 24 hrs of searching lol You should also disable windows auto updates or power savings mode,i ran into both of those probs but thanks to you the nosey computer repair man will never see my naked Cancoon pics lol

When I plugged in my external hd enclosure it said folder empty yet when I clicked properties and checked it said 14mgb ? why is it blank then when I click on the biohd-8 hd? is it dmamaged beyond bothering for the Getbackdata? Im already into it 60.00 with no luck. I know? I had a lot more than 14mgb on that bio8hd
There is? another data recovery program called Easeus Data Recovery Free Edition that is free that can work for you. Just go to download dot com and download it. As of today this program is free. If you had more data you should be able to retrieve it. Good luck.
My computer is working alright, yet I did diagnostics through F9 and showed BIOHD-8 error. I had no data to save, this is a computer I have just to surf and save all my data elsewhere. So I did system recovery through the disc but same error appears again in diagnostics.? Is this OK?
The biohd- 8 error is always going to be there. The computer that I am typing this reply with, has already been fixed twice. The first time before I fixed it, it would not work at all and when I talked to hp support, they told me that I had to buy a new computer. I followed the steps in my video and I was able to make it work? again for another 11 months until it messed up again recently. Always backup your data because you will never know how long your computer will work.
You've fixed it twice? Why? not save the hassle and shell out $100 for a new hard drive?
I'll have to keep this in mind for the future. I lost all my data, but fortunitly I have most of my data backed on two other external HD''s already...It was so bad my recovery partition nor a windows 7? CD didn't wanna work. I used a linux live CD with windows repair tools, but still didn't mount the C partition. My only option was to delete the partition...after that my recovey partition worked. My drive still has the error, but works or now. Going to replace ASAP.
If you are going to connect an external dvd/cd? device, you should go to the Bios by pressing F9 and finding where it says startup and changing the startup to external device. Then just plug your external device to your computer and put the recovery discs in and restart your system. Good luck.
In order for the computer to recognize the recovery discs, your DVD/ CD will need to work. I am not sure if an? external one will work, but if you have it, you should try it. You will need to go to the computer bios settings and see if there is a setting for external drive startup. To get to the Bios Settings, just start your computer and press F9 non stop. Good luck.
