This video will teach you how to fix error 1013 on the iPhone 3GS/4 when your trying to restore or update. When restoring you most likely completed over 85% of the restore and iTunes gave an error code 1013 thus leaving you in recovery mode. No software is required for this fix, just wordpad which is built in pretty much any computer. Follow very carefully so you don't get lost. I tried to go slow to make it easier to follow. Once you've followed the steps, just restore your iPhone again and your done :) If it doesn't work even after the steps, restart the computer and then restore. when i modify the host files? and try to restore, itunes say'' iphone isnt elegible for the request build :C can u help me plz? i have a mac, im using 4.3.3
you need to have the shsh blobs saved for that device. also make sure you pressing apple restore and selecting the ipsw that way. if none of those work you can also try putting our idevice into pwned dfu mode before attempting the restore, you can do this with redsn0w and selecting enter pwned dfu mode, then doing these steps? in the video

ya, your doing a restore so it will reset your iPod/iPhone/iPad, hopefully you have your stuff backed up...?

I noticed that? since I am on IOS Lion,Apple does not let me to downgrade to the previous iTunes versions. Wish I could go back from Lion to Snowleopard....
