It boggles the mind. So many people HATE? the new compose and HATE there is no option. It was fine the way it was now it is fucked. Why to these outfits ALWAYS have to change things for no other reason but to change? It is not close to being an improvement. The opposite.

It makes no sense. All I can think is ... someone is trying to justify their job by coming up with this garbage.
This over simplified interface SUCKS! Why wouldn't they make it an option? The fact that you can temporarily opt out shows that they? are perfectly capable of offering both at the same time. I'm just going to start using thunderbird to tend to my gmail account. I don't think I'll be the only one, and it's their fault they'll be losing that ad revenue.
Can you at least make it popped out by default. Having it open the far bottom right corner every time is just too damn annoying. The experience is just about enough for me to end? a very long relationship I've had with an up to now great product.
If this was optional, that would? be great. As a forced only mode, it awakens my need to kill.
Awful...Awful...Awful. Ever hear of "If it's not? broke, don't fix it"? At least give us the option of staying with the old one.
The backlash to this terrible new Gmail Compose actually demonstrates a serious problem with Cloud-based apps. Companies want software that they upgrade when THEY are ready - they DO NOT want surprises like bad design forced upon them. Imagine if you ran a company that had 1,000 employees and you had persuaded everyone to use the corporate version of Gmail. Then this change happened overnight and your employees didn't? like it. That would make whoever decided to use Gmail look REALLY stupid.
A marketing model that requires constant incremental change in order to 'compete' with other companies in the sector is fundamentally flawed. Give users something that is compelling from? the get go and then tread carefully to make sure you don't wreck all the good work you have already done. Microsoft made the same mistake with Windows 8, thinking they could dictate major change to users, rather than users and the market dictating change to them.
"What do you think?" I think it's a lot of shit mate, that's what I think. Everything worked well before, why on earth did you need to change it? I rarely and probably never need any of the new features you have introduced. What makes you think I? need them now? More than that, why do you feel justified in forcing them on me, whether I want to adopt them or not?
Composing an email, and instant messaging are two different things. Notice I didn't say 'compose' an? instant message? Because we take more time to 'compose' email. It's not something that should be in a reduced window at the side of my screen. It's something I want front and center, and clicking an extra button to get it there isn't a step in the right direction.
Really really bad. Worst of all, i cannot see the full file name of an attachment in the composer window any more. I believe it will be possible to re-develop this design into something you can work with again, but is it really so hard to? poll customer opinions FIRST?
