These are some of my error coins! I love errors because they are rare and irregular. My collection includes a waffeled quarter, a rare penny only stamped on one side, a blank quarter, a lot of blank pennies, a off-center penny, a steel penny with a doubled "S" and "4", a penny with a filled "5" and "S", and a flying eagle penny with a rotated reverse! Copper 1943 cents sell for a lot, so somebody probably tried to copper plate it to sell off for? some money. By the way, I have a 2000 D nickel with grease through.
the first coin you showed, the? 1943 penny, it looks like just a regular steel penny, that someone plated in copper, to sell as a fake copper 1943 copper penny, after a while the copper plating wore off.
silver? pennies were never made..
it almost looks like the copper is? the under layer though like maybe it was copper and they tried to zinc plate it make it look like all the others...totally a guess though...just do the magnet test and he'll know more
yeah his? best bet is the magnet test and a dealer if still unsure
